SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS Wrote 40 plays with 40 professional productions in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. Directed 100 plays. Received many positive reviews, including three in The New York Times. Designs and conducts educational seminars for teachers, students, and parents. Teaches acting at the Victory Gardens Theater. MY APPROACH TO WORKING WITH STUDENTS I work with all students in a positive, non-judgmental way. I "teach" virtually nothing. I do guide and encourage students to discover, cultivate, clarify, and articulate the intelligence, courage, and spirit they already possess. Using this approach, I have been able to help students release what is most exciting, passionate, and spiritual in them. I am learning more and more to say less, trust them, stay back, and do more "igniting" than instructing. AND BY THE WAY My acting experience helps the class be more spontaneous, creative, participatory, and fun.
