  1. Log on to LT
  2. On the left hand side click on "edit labels"
  3. Click on create
  4. Click on label
  5. Put a title for your label like "transhcan" or "Junque" or "old stuff"
  6. Click on save
  7. Now go to the location where the unwanted document is, like My Work or Inbox.
  8. Click on the items you want to put in the label.
  9. Click the button [Move] above the listing table and select the label from the drop-down list.
  10. You will get the message 'Successully moved x items'.

NOTE: If you want to keep a copy of that document in another folder as well as current folder, select the [Apply] button instead of Move. This will create a copy of the original document and file that copy under the label.

How to copy text from anothe program and paste it to LiveText?

You need to first open the document that contains your text (e.g., in Microsoft Word), then select the text, copy it, switch to LiveText Text Editor window, click "Edit" in the menu bar of the browser, select "Paste." (Currently the Text Editor does not allow you to right click the text editing area and select "Paste.")

1. Open the program that contains your text, be it MS Word or an email program. Open the file that contains your text. (The SXU labs do not have WordPerfect, therefore you cannot open WordPerfect documents in the labs.)

2. Select the text, by highlighting it, or using the "Select All" function under "Edit."

3. "Copy" the selection, by clicking "Edit" in the menu bar, then selecting "Copy."

4. Switch to LiveText Text Editor window.

5. Put the cursor at the place where you want to insert the text. Click"Edit" in the menu bar, then select "Paste."

How to make the file size of an image smaller?

The reason for the large file size is its file type; it won't be to large if it is .jpg or .jpeg or .gif or .png (these are the file types that a web browser can support). So, your job is to convert your image files into these web supported formats. You can do so by Microsoft Paint, which comes with the Windows operating system on every computer that runs Windows. Note, decreasing the file size will only make it faster to load the image; it does not change the image size.

1. Open Paint by doing the following: click Start, Programs (or All Programs), Accessories, Paint.

2. Open your image file with Paint. (Note: Paint cannot open all types of images).

3. Use "Save as" and save your image as .jpg or .gif. (.jpg is suitable for color photos, while .gif is suitable for icons that have mono color of only a few colors).
