Prospective Employers (Word
file)
This article discusses 4 ways of sharing LiveText
portfolios with prospective employers: (A)
making your portfolio “public”, (B) creating
a visitor’s pass, (C) saving your portfolio
to portable media, and (D) printing your portfolio.
Before you take any of the routes, you should
first customize your portfolio so that they
become employment-oriented portfolios, which
will be discussed in Section II.

Understanding
LiveText
 |
-
LiveText is a database with
Web interface. A database allows
one to store and retrieve data (text, image,
audio, video, etc.). You interact with this
database through the World Wide Web.
-
LiveText is used for documenting teacher
candidate academic achievement.
-
A LiveText document has
to have at least one page;
a page has to have at least one section.
-
Content must be entered in sections.
Pages are simply section-holders,
and documents are page-holders.
-
LiveText documents have the view
mode, edit mode, and review
mode. In the view mode
one can only read. To edit a document, one
has to enter the edit mode;
to add comments, one has to enter the review
